On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary Food Market & Retail Forum (FRSiH), the PTWP Group – the organiser of the Forum – is making its début with the Food & Retail Start-up Star contest. ‘In relation to the anniversary, we wish to make a move towards young enterprises that have only begun to take their first steps in business, and to reward their enthusiasm and innovative projects, including both food-related projects and examples of implementation intended for retail enterprises,’ said Edyta Kochlewska, Editor-in-Chief of the ‘Rynek Spożywczy’ Magazine. Apart from the possibility of taking part in the popularity contest, the awarded creators and start-up managers will also have an opportunity to present their businesses and innovative ideas in front of the Forum of Experts during the 10th Food Market & Retail Forum. Participation in the popularity contest – by way of submitting your company/enterprise as well as its products and services – is totally free of charge. We shall receive applications from 5 June to 18 September 2017 through the registration form available on the event website at www.frsih.pl. For the categories: Food & Beverages and Retail, Customer Experience & Fintech, we invite young companies/enterprises that have already begun selling their products and services.
The selection of the companies/enterprises and products to be awarded will be made by a circle of renowned experts, scientists and journalists involved in the subject matter of retail trade and food.
Participation in the Food & Retail Start-up Star contest offers the possibility of telling others about your idea, gain substantive support, and meet with investors and chairmen of the board of the largest food and retail companies in Poland. The contest provides an opportunity to gain a business partner from among the corporations interested in innovative solutions, who take part in the Food Market & Retail Forum. This is also an opportunity for you to catch the attention of the media and win renown among your future clients.
Terms and Conditions of the Food & Retail Start-up Star contest:
1. The aim of the contest is to:
a) popularise products and services created by young and innovative companies/enterprises that operate in the food and retail industry, including companies/enterprises offering technological solutions that support business processes in those sectors;
b) connect start-ups with investors and industry corporations, also due to the possibility of delivering presentations in front of the Forum of Experts during the Food Market & Retail Forum.
2. You can apply for the contest by filling in the registration form available on the Event website (http://frsih.pl) in the Competitions tab.
3. The contest is organised by the PTWP SA Group with its registered office at the International Conference Centre, Plac Sławika i Antalla 1, 40-163 Katowice – the publisher of the dlahandlu.pl and portalspozywczy.pl portals.
4. Participation in the contest is free.
5. The contest is intended for start-up owners, hereinafter referred to as Participants.
6. A start-up shall be construed as an enterprise at the early stage of its development, meeting one of the two following criteria at the moment of signing up to the project:
it has conducted business activity in the market for less than three (3) years since the first commercial sale of its product(s)/service(s);
it has introduced at least one (1) food product, service or solution to the market, which serve the purposes of the retail trade industry.
7. The correct course of the contest shall be ensured by a Jury that will select finalists in the following categories:
a) Food & Beverages;
b) Retail, Customer Experience & Fintech.
8. Applications for the Food & Retail Start-up Star can be submitted from 5 June to 18 September 2017 by way of filling in the contest form available at www.frsih.pl. Your application should be accompanied by a maximum of two (2) photos in the case of products or a recommendation of an implementation plan in the case of a service, and sent to the following email address: startup@ptwp.pl. Please include the name of the product or service submitted to the contest in the subject of your email. The size of your email cannot exceed 10 MB.
9. The organiser stipulates that the information on the results of the contest will be sent exclusively to the awarded companies/enterprises within up to two (2) weeks prior to the official awards ceremony.
10. The prize in the contest is the Food & Retail Start-up Star diploma, which shall be delivered in both written and electronic form. Winners will also have the possibility of informing others about the award they have won, including the right to place the corresponding logo on the awarded product or service.
11. The winners will be presented with the awards at the Evening Gala taking place during the 10th Food Market & Retail Forum (6–7 November 2017, Sheraton Warsaw Hotel, Warsaw).
