Paulina Gbur is a policy officer in Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs in the European Commission. She specialises in economic analysis in the team in charge of the Communication on a retail sector fit for the 21st century and the Retail Restrictiveness Indicator measuring the level of restrictiveness of retail relevant regulation in EU Member States. Before that, she contributed to developing consumer research in the European Commission. This included carrying out studies dedicated to the functioning of markets for consumers in the framework of the Consumer Scoreboard. Before joining the Commission in 2008, Paulina dealt with retailer chains at Nielsen Polska. She graduated from the Poznań University of Economics. Married, a mother of two teenage boys.
